Dr. Kerry Preston grew up in Wisconsin and Illinois. He did his undergraduate studies at Highland Community College and Southern Illinois University where he received his bachelors degree in chemistry. He completed his professional degree at Indiana University College of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Preston moved to Abilene with his wife Dorothy while in the Air Force. He served 3 years at Dyess Air Force Base where he was Chief of Optometric Services. They decided to make Abilene their home and have raised two daughters here. Dr. Preston joined Abilene Eye Institute over 25 years ago. He is dedicated to providing quality care to children and adults in a friendly, comfortable professional atmosphere. He provides primary eye care, treats glaucoma, treats emergent eye conditions and co-manages cataract and LASIK eye surgery.
Dr Preston is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Holy Family Catholic Church and is on the Abilene Country Club Men's Golf Association Board.
Dr. Preston enjoys being outdoors, sports, golfing and time with his family.
